A Nation Divided by Turmoil: Biden's Victory is America's Failure

Another long-winded, incoherent speech fraught with inaccuracies and false accusations.  As the polls have closed and ballots are meticulously being counted across key states, many deign to criminalize Trump for his boisterous proclamations and unorthodox leadership. However, the truth of the matter may be far more sinister than you care to imagine...Biden asserts that he and his party maintain the moral high ground in this tumultuous race for presidency. But do they really? In fact, the vast majority of Southern Democrats vehemently opposed a ban on slavery while the Republican party sought to win their freedom. Indeed, it may appear that times have changed... unless you bother to read the many defamatory statements made throughout Biden's long and storied political career -- statements targeting both women and African Americans. Although to be safe, let's assume his bigotry extended far beyond that which we've covered. So as it now seems more certain than ever that we'

Is it Possible for Humans to Destroy the Earth?

Yes... and no. Well, it's a complicated question worthy of serious speculation and studious rumination. While the answer is irrefutably yes, the technology required to accomplish such a feat is well beyond our reach.

A bleak and barren landscape devastated by some unknown monstrosity....

You could think of the Earth like a massive onion. Total destruction would require peeling away each layer until it lacked the gravity to gather its rocky surface back into place. This would require an immense store of energy. How much, you ask? Somewhere around 10^32 joules. Let's put that into perspective: the entire human race has thus far used just 10^20 joules to power all of its technologies. And this includes wood-burning, steam engines, coal consumption, etc.

Okay, okay. So how do we accumulate the devastating energy required to pull this off? It turns out to be a question of time. it would take at least a trillion years to accumulate such power. That is, unless you have to option of littering the Earth's surface with solar panels. With enough solar radiation converted into electrical energy, the wait could easily be reduced to just 18-million years.

So why not just sit back, put on your favorite evil genius hat, and prepare a pot of coffee -- because it's going to take quite awhile before your plan comes to fruition. But then again, being an inhabitant of this world, you might want to begin searching for a new home before tearing this one apart...
